GATE 7 CONTINUES RAPID GROWTH IN THE AMERICAS

Destination representation agency Gate 7 has started the new financial year with a bang, signing new clients in California, USA and Central America.

Expanding its comprehensive stable of clients in the USA, Gate 7 adds Visit West Hollywood, Sonoma County Tourism and Visit Napa Valley to its trade representation portfolio. Gate 7 has also broken into the Central American market, winning the PR contract to represent the Los Cabos Tourism Board.

“West Hollywood, Napa Valley and Sonoma are a wonderful complement to our destination portfolio across the West Coast of the USA,” said Jo Palmer, Managing Director of Gate 7. “These destinations have many of Australia’s favourite things in bucket loads: wine, food and a good time so targeted promotion is sure to resonate well with travellers.”

Gate 7’s contract with the Los Cabos Tourism Board is indicative of what Palmer believes is a burgeoning interest in the ANZ market from Central and South American tourism bureaus.

“The Los Cabos Tourism Board is leading the pack in recognising the need for strong representation Down Under. With more and more Australians and Kiwis looking to the Americas to spend their leisure travel, there is enormous potential to tap into this market,” added Palmer.

In addition to the recent back to back client wins, the majority of Gate 7’s PR clients have increased their representation efforts in this market with Rocky Mountaineer, Visit West Hollywood, Santa Monica Convention and Visitors Bureau, Visit Huntington Beach and San Francisco Travel among others increasing their contracts between 50% to 100%.
